This spring, return to the essence of who we are meant to be. Join us in the fertile countryside of Morocco to explore Fitra—our innate primordial state and God-given harmony with the earth—as a practical way of living together, cultivating land, and restoring balance. Guided by timeless wisdom of Islamic spirituality, this retreat and permaculture design course is more than an opportunity to learn—it is a call to embrace our sacred, fitraic role as stewards of creation: Khalifat ul-Ard.

For far too long, modernity has distanced us from our sacred role as caretakers of creation. On a serene regenerative permaculture farm in Morocco, we are working to revive a holistic vision of life that reconnects us with the natural world. This course offers practical training in permaculture design, plants the seeds for community building, and work on physical and spiritual wellness. In the ancestral lands of Islam, we aim to embody the vitality of sacred Qur’anic principles: Khilāfah (stewardship), Amāna (trust), Ihsān (excellence and beautification), Islāh (restoration), and Shukr (gratitude)—all of which bring us closer to the essence of Fitra.

Inaya Permaculture’s inaugural retreat is open to anyone seeking to align their lifestyle with Islamic principles of sustainability, whether you’re new to permaculture or already passionate about ecological living. With guidance from internationally acclaimed experts, you’ll gain the tools to start your own permaculture project while deepening your connection to God’s creations.

Join us to renew your spirit, embrace your responsibility as a steward, and rediscover the harmony of living with purpose and gratitude.

Our Instructors

Mohammed Erribani, Farmer and Permaculture Consultant

  • Mohammed Erribani is an accomplished permaculture consultant and educator. He has worked extensively across Africa, the Middle East, and India with world-renowned organizations such as the Permaculture Research Institute and the Hans foundation.

Specializing in sustainable ecosystem design, soil fertility, and community education, his projects range from transforming degraded lands into productive food forests to teaching permaculture principles to NGOs, farmers, and local communities. He is now settled on a 2-hectare farm in the hills of Sidi Bettache, outside of Rabat, and is eager to share with us some of his practical wisdom and extensive on-the-ground experience!

Antoine Bernardeau, Permaculture Expert

  • With a desire for a more meaningful life, Antoine Bernardeau left his native Paris in 2012 to embark upon a plane-free round-the-world permaculture journey - en route to pilgrimage in Mecca.
On his way, he gained skills and knowledge about more intuitive ways to live in unison with creation, which are often lost in the fragmented structure of modern life.
After 3 years of working on various farms in different climates and regions of the world, he established himself as a permaculture consultant and trainer in the MENA region, with a keen interest in developing successful alternative business and community models mimicking, rather than opposing, the principles found in the natural world.
